The Sharing Tree is a way our church can reach out and help our local neighbors and friends who have no other resources to rely on. Names with gift wish items will be available on Sunday, November 14. Our goal is to help provide assistance for about ten families during the holiday season. Each family will be provided gifts for the children and a food basket. On the tree, you will see envelopes for donations that will also be used to help these families. If writing a check, be sure to mark “Sharing Tree” in the memo. You may put it in the offertory tray or drop off at the church office. We ask that you bring Sharing Tree items to the church office to later than November 28. Please note that this is earlier than the usual December date that we request items to be back. A table will be set up in the Clifford Room for your food contributions. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by these families and the Epworth Education Committee.
Items needed for the food baskets:
Turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy, sugar, canned milk, canned fruit, canned vegetables, 10 lb. bag potatoes, pumpkin pie filling, disposable turkey pan, jello, olives/pickles, stuffing mix, coffee, onions, muffin mix, canned yams, flour, hot cocoa and crackers.
